<p>DUTIES:<br />
Northern College is seeking a qualified professional to teach a variety of courses in the Instrumentation Engineering Technician program at our Haileybury campus.<br />
The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in instrumentation, electrical, electronics, digital electronics and programmable logic controllers.<br />
As part of teaching assigned courses, the successful candidate will be expected to act as an academic advisor to students within the program, participate as an effective team leader and team member in working groups at Northern College, create a positive teaching/learning environment, use a variety of teaching/learning strategies and materials in a multi-delivery mode setting to facilitate student success, provide leadership in a multicultural classroom, ensure program relevance by designing, revising and updating curriculum and course outlines, evaluate student achievement with a variety of approaches and techniques, develop and revise appropriate learning resources, establish communications among students and colleagues as a teacher and leader, participate in professional development activities at Northern College relevant to his/her own needs, and participate effectively in program promotion.<br />
QUALIFICATIONS:<br />
Education:<br />
• Minimum of an Instrumentation Technician Diploma or equivalent in a related field<br />
• WHMIS review card</p>
<p>Experience:<br />
• Experience such as process control instrumentation, electronics, electrical and programmable logic control<br />
areas<br />
• Ten years of experience in a related industry is preferred<br />
• Experience in teaching would be an asset.</p>
<p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:<br />
• Computer skills including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, AutoCAD, and trade software packages<br />
• Strong interpersonal skills<br />
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment</p>

<p>DUTIES:<br />

<p>As the Human Resource Services, Recruitment and Retention Supervisor you will be accountable for the formulation, implementation and administration of sound policies, procedures and practices relating to the recruitment, selection, hiring and orientation processes for academic, support and administrative staff to ensure the college is optimally staffed at all times. You will provide leadership in directing the professional development, evaluation and retention of all employees of the College. The Supervisor will create and/or implement programs and policies to ensure the professional development of College employees is consistent with the College’s strategic direction and succession plan.</p>

<p>QUALIFICATIONS:<br />
Education and Credentials:<br />
• Three year diploma or degree with a concentration in Human Resource Management or Adult Training Courses.<br />
• Human Resource Professional designation would be an asset.<br />
• Valid WHMIS</p>
<p>Experience:<br />
• Seven years experience with progressive human resources experience required.<br />
• Experience in an environment where collaborative union relationships are encouraged.<br />
• Previous experience in a very busy environment where multi-tasking is required.<br />
