			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Reporting to the Manager of Parks, Recreation and Building Maintenance, the Energy Co-ordinator will undertake energy related research and policy development, develop and implement energy conservation management plans in compliance with legislative requirements, monitor and verify utility bills, lead and/or coordinate energy savings improvement projects, apply for and manage associated grant applications, and to provide ongoing education/awareness related to the efficient and effective use of energy to municipal staff.</p>
<p>DUTIES:<br />
• Develop, implement, and manage a Comprehensive Energy Conservation and Demand Management Plan for all corporate buildings in accordance with the requirements of the Green Energy Act and associated regulations.<br />
• Identify and implement appropriate energy management software to assist with data input/organization, tracking, monitoring, and reporting activities.<br />
• Consult and assist in the development of ongoing energy management metering strategies, monitoring, and bill verification programs.<br />
• Review construction and major renewal projects to advise on adherence to energy conservation, energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emission policy and practices;<br />
• Establish and maintain excellent networking relationships with municipal, provincial, federal, and other affiliated agencies or companies engaged in energy related activities;<br />
• Develop and execute appropriate energy related policies to implement, coordinate, and guide corporate energy conservation and green house gas reduction initiatives;<br />
• Develop corporate standards for the purchase of major energy efficient equipment.<br />
• Research current best practices in all areas of municipal operations and prepare cost estimates, business cases, and technical briefings for energy audits and energy replacement or retrofit<br />
• Coordinate, recommend, and conduct energy policy, awareness and technical training for all city employees in conjunction with the Human Resources Department;<br />
• Responsible for negotiating Corporate energy procurement and rate strategies for electricity, natural gas, fuel and all other energy commodities in conjunction with the Finance &amp; Treasury Department;<br />
• Assist in the development, preparation, and monitoring of operational and capital budgets as they relate to corporate energy conservation and demand management priorities;<br />
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.</p>
<p>QUALIFICATIONS:<br />
• Three-year community college diploma in civil, electrical, mechanical, engineering, architecture, environmental studies/technology or a related field.<br />
• Certificate in Energy Management (CEM), LEED Professional Accreditation, or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.<br />
• A minimum of three (3) years related experience.<br />
• Knowledge of utility metering, billing and rate structures for electricity, water and natural gas utilities;<br />
• Understanding of building automation, HVAC, lighting and metering systems;<br />
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Software and familiarity with Energy Management Software;<br />
• Excellent analytical, asset management and decision making skills;<br />
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and report writing skills;<br />
• Fluency in both official languages would be an asset.<br />
• Current and clear Criminal Background Check.</p>
<p>Salary – In accordance with the City of Timmins Non-Union Remuneration System</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Reporting to the Administrator, the Community Homes Services Coordinator is responsible for the planning, leading, organizing and control of The Community Home Support Program including Adult Day Program, Volunteer Transportation and Home Maintenance and Repair.</p>
<p>DUTIES:</p>
<p> Recruit clients for Adult Day Program, Volunteer Transportation and Home Maintenance Repair<br />
 Recruit, screen, orientate, and train volunteers and volunteer drivers as required.<br />
 Liaise with outside agencies/services as required to ensure optimal program delivery.<br />
 Supervise departmental daily activities including staff and volunteers.<br />
 Prepare and deliver monthly Safety Talks.<br />
 Maintain attendance records.<br />
 Arrange staff training for new and revised policies and procedures and maintain training records.<br />
 Maintain records and statistics and complete quarterly reports for all programs.<br />
 Develop policies as required.<br />
 Participate in resident care as required.<br />
 Plan, prepare and coordinate special events as required.<br />
 Enable access to personal health information in accordance with the Personal Health Information Act.<br />
 Other duties as assigned.</p>
<p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p>
<p> University Degree or College Diploma in gerontology or health related services.<br />
 Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience required.<br />
 Previous experience working with seniors and in a Home Support setting, Retirement setting or Long-Term Care facility.<br />
 Ability to work with minimal supervision.<br />
 Knowledge of relevant legislation (Long-Term Care Homes Act and Personal Health Information Protection Act).<br />
 Excellent communication, problem solving and team building skills.<br />
 Excellent oral and written skills in both official languages a definite asset.<br />
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.<br />
 Experience with Ministry web-based programs (Goldcare, Medecare) an asset.<br />
 Current and clear Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen required.<br />
 Current WHMIS Certificate an asset.</p>

 Fluency in English and French preferred.</p>
<p>These duties are performed on weekends and some evenings.</p>
