The Communication Specialist is responsible for leading, developing, implementing and evaluating communication strategies to support the internal and external communications of the hospital. As an integral member of the hospital’s team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will serve as the in-house media specialist who proactively communicates TDH stories to audiences at the local and provincial level.
Primary duties include developing content, including news stories, key messages, newsletters and other communications deliverables, assisting in maintaining intranet site and external site, monitoring hospital activities in order to identify opportunities for communications, updating the communications plan as needed, serving as a strategic communications advisor, and representing the hospital on various committees as required. The successful candidate will be expected to build strong working relationships with stakeholders inside and outside the Hospital.
Here's What You'll Need:
- Degree/diploma in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in a communications department. Healthcare experience preferred.
- Demonstrated creativity, proven writing and editing skills, and analytical ability
- Demonstrated superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated excellent presentation skills
- Fluently bilingual
