The Cochrane Temiskaming Resource Centre (CTRC) is seeking a Residential Supervisor to join its management team in Timmins.
CTRC is a regional Developmental Services provider offering programs across the Districts of Temiskaming and Cochrane including coastal communities along James and Hudson Bay. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team planning and coordinating supports to individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
The main responsibilities of the Residential Supervisor will include managing front line staff teams, scheduling staff to meet support needs, overseeing and being accountable for residential and individual expenses, enforcement of all internal service & staff policies, ensuring the delivery of services in accordance with Quality Assurance Regulations and ensuring all staff work in accordance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Health and Safety agency policies. The Residential Supervisor will also work consultatively and collaboratively with other service agencies and providers, including Community Living Associations, Hospitals, and any other community based services part of support network for the individual receiving services from CTRC. Residential Supervisors are also required to manage within the provisions of the Collective Agreement in place with OPSEU Local 664.
Permanent Full-Time management employees are offers a defined pension plan with the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) and are enrolled from hire date. Extended Health Benefits (100% of drug costs) Life insurance, dental ($1,000/yr.), vision ($300/24 months), para-medical coverage, ($500/year) and travel insurance are provided. Flexible work schedules are offered and vacation is as per the Human Resources Vacation Policy as it applies to Non-bargaining employees.
Wages: $36.76 to $39.99 /hour 75 hours every 2 weeks
The successful candidate will possess a Developmental Services Worker Diploma or an acceptable combination of education (or other Human Services Diploma or/ Degree) and training in the Developmental Services field. A minimum of 5 years current experience in a developmental services residential/group home setting. 3 years’ experience in a supervisory position or supplementary college level courses in supervision or managerial skill development is required. Ability to understand and follow the principles of non-violent crisis intervention; demonstrated ability to promote and maintain harmonious relationships with clients, staff, families and the community at large; financial and management ability; good communication, documentation and organizational ability; ability to maintain good public relations. A valid G drivers’ license and the use of a vehicle is essential. Ability to operate a computer and various software programs. Possession of an updated First Aid/CPR Heart Saver certificate and CPI certificate or willingness to obtain such is necessary. Mandatory Covid-19 vaccination (2 doses).
