Position: Administrative Assistant

Our business 1000626684 Ontario Inc. O/A Mountjoy Variety, located in Timmins, Ontario is seeking to fill the position of “Administrative Assistant” This position we have created for the development and expansion of our business.

We are looking for a qualified candidate to join our team. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate in English with excellent oral and written communication skills and have a minimum of a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. We are also looking for a candidate who has minimum of three (1) years to less than five (2) years’ experience in a relevant position.

The candidate will plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations of our store and establish and implement policies and procedures. You will oversee managing contracts and training and development strategies as well as overseeing development of communication strategies. You will train, direct, and supervise other workers and be able to motivate the staff. you will also oversee overseeing the analysis of employee data and information, and the preparation of reports.

You will oversee payroll administration and responding to employee questions and complaints. You will have to assign, co-ordinate and review present and new projects, programs and schedule and confirm appointments with customers, sellers and suppliers, as well as answer and relay electronic enquiries and telephone calls and messages. You must arrange and co-ordinate meetings with local community people, and record and prepare minutes of meetings. You will also oversee ordering office and store supplies and maintaining inventory and determining and establishing store procedures and routines. You will open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information and set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems. You will compile data, statistics and other information which will be useful for store and advice owner. You will also have to look after customer care and related administrative services.

Areas of experience and specialization must include computer knowledge. Experience with programs such as Microsoft Word, office, Excel, PowerPoint, windows, are crucial for potential candidates.

We are looking for a hardworking, organized individual who will be able to provide good administrative and business services to our local Timmins community people.

This is a permanent full time position the requires 37.5 hours per week with $26.00/hour compensation.
