Heath & Sherwood (1964) Limited an international engineering/manufacturing firm serving the mineral processing and smelter equipment market seeks an applicant to fill the position of Financial Administrator. This position reports directly to the Finance and Administration Manager and has the follow responsibilities:

·         Maintain the accounts receivable sub-ledger, issue customer statements, post payments and adjustments as well as assist with collection of accounts.

·         Maintain the accounts payable sub-ledger, process weekly cheque run and review vendor statements.

·         Process banking transactions and assist with bank reconciliations.

·         Assist with weekly cashflow and forecasting.

·         Post monthly depreciation and maintain fixed asset schedule.

·         Complete government filings for EHT, WSIB and GST/HST

·         Assist with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing.

·         Coordinate with external accountants/auditors and assist with year-end procedures.

This position requires:

·         A solid understanding of accounting procedures.

·         Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.

·         Strong work ethic and positive team player.

·         High attention to detail and standards of accuracy.

·         Effectve communication skills, both verbally and in writing, as well as strong inter-personal skills.

·         High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite, specifically Excel.

·         Experience with Sage 300 considered an asset.

·         Professional designation (CPA) or actively pursuing CPA designation.
