CJ Equipment Sales and Service is growing our team. We are currently looking to fill the position of Full-Time experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk. Hours would be 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday. Wage to be discussed and based on experience. Benefit package available post-probation period.

Responsibilities

• Calculating, recording, inputting or processing financial data
• Preparing customer invoices based on accounting procedures
• Researching and investigating discrepancies in invoices to determine the accuracy of charges
• Matching payments to invoice numbers or sales orders
• Handling customer inquiries regarding billing issues
• Managing an Accounts Receivable ledger and Accounts Receivable files
• Submitting reports to management on accounts receivable operations
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
• Directing phone calls

Requirements and skills

• Proven working experience as Accounts Receivable Clerk, or accountant
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (SAGE 50 and Quickbooks)
• Proficiency in English, French and in MS Office
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration considered an asset
