Charb’ s Tree Service is looking for Brush Cutter/ Labourer

We are looking to hire someone that would meet the necessary skills to help with the job of brush cutting. It is important that the successful candidate be able to perform very physically demanding tasks while working under all weather conditions such as the heat and cold, and in the presence of a variety of insects. The environment we will be working in requires the ability to traverse a variety of terrain such as hills, rock, muskeg, clay, water, all while carrying a 25-pound brush clearing saw.

Job Details:

• Various hours

• $30.00 hourly

• 1 vacancy

• Up to full-time hours however may vary due to environmental conditions that would require postponing the work due to safety.

Job Requirements:

• Posses a valid G License

• 18 years old

• Ability to lift 50 – 100 lbs

• Must take mining induction • Own reliable transportation.

• Proper PPE

• Endurance

Job Duties

• Operation and maintenance of brush clearing saws and weed cutters. On the job training and instruction for these tasks will be provided by Charb’s Tree Service.

• Daily regular duties will include a combination of brush clearing, grass and weed cutting, piling and dragging of brush for the purpose of clearing unwanted vegetation growing on spillways, water and soil sampling trails, fence lines, and any other location requested by the mine properties in Timmins and surrounding area.

• on occasion, assistance with the removal and clean up of larger trees on Newmont properties that are causing an issue with private property owners adjacent to the mine owned property.

• At times access to these work locations will require travel by an Argo. For this, a DOT approved helmet will be required.
