The Agency
Jubilee Centre (CJC), located in Timmins, Ontario, is a specialized live-in, community-based addiction & mental health agency offering high intensity, medically supported MH Crisis & WMS, Intensive Recovery-oriented Treatment & Rehabilitation Services, Primary Care, temporary housing and supports together within an integrated modified therapeutic community environment. We are seeking highly motivated and energetic individuals to fill this position in our Interdisciplinary Client Care Team.
Summary of Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Clinical Director / Clinical Supervisor, the Clinical Intern is an integral temporary member of the Client Care Team funded through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC Workforce Development Stream). The Clinical Intern provides supportive clinical care across agency programs, services, and community care pathways. Under supervisor guidance, the intern assists with initial client screenings, intake, care planning, referral coordination, crisis de-escalation assistance, and milieu management. Additionally, the intern plays a key role in assisting with newly implemented clinical data software to support the transition and optimization of digital document processes while ensuring compliance with PHIPA standards and any other duties as required.
Qualifications
· Recent graduate or candidate enrolled in/holding a College Diploma or University Degree in a Human Services discipline (e.g., Social Service Worker, Addictions/Mental Health, Psychology, Nursing, or related field).
· Eligible for NOHFC Workforce Development Stream internship criteria.
· Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental concepts in addiction, mental health, concurrent disorders, and trauma-informed care.
· Familiarity or comfort with clinical data software, digital electronic records systems, and PHIPA compliance standards.
· Strong interpersonal, active listening, and crisis de-escalation skills.
· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
· Knowledge of cultural safety and trauma-informed care for Francophone and Indigenous (First Nation, Métis, Inuit) communities.
· Possess a valid Class G Driver's License (asset).

Candidate Preferences
All other factors being equal, preference may be given to candidates possessing one or more of the following attributes:
· Internal applicant
· Persons identifying as Indigenous and possessing a solid working knowledge of traditional healing practices
· Persons who have a solid working knowledge of Cree, Ojibway, or Oji-Cree languages
· Persons who are fluently bi-lingual in and able to competently deliver care in both French and English
Wages and Benefits
Wages are based on the NOHFC funding agreement ($24.00 per hour) Benefits are in accordance with our Collective Bargaining Agreement.
