Construction Supervisor

G.R. Roy Construction Ltd.

Full-Time • Timmins Region

G.R. Roy Construction is looking for an experienced and motivated Construction Supervisor to join our growing team.

The Construction Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction operations, coordinating crews and equipment, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities and site operations.
  • Lead and manage construction crews, equipment operators, labourers, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and deliveries to support project requirements.
  • Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to crew members.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure schedules and deadlines are maintained.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and project documents.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications and quality requirements.
  • Ensure all employees follow company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Identify hazards and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Monitor labour, equipment, and material usage.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, production records, timesheets, and site documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers and management regarding project progress, challenges, and requirements.
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project personnel.
  • Troubleshoot site issues and implement practical solutions to keep projects moving.
  • Promote a positive, professional, and safety-focused work environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Construction Supervisor, Foreman, or in a similar leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of construction operations and practices.
  • Experience supervising crews and coordinating heavy equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Construction-related certifications are considered an asset.
  • Experience in road construction, grading, civil construction, heavy construction, or mining-related projects is considered an asset.
