The Porcupine Dante Club is currently looking to recruit a Cook.
Responsibilities:
As directed, prepare/cook food for the restaurant, for take out, for catering or for an event in one of the 3 banquet halls;
Make spaghetti sauce, meatballs, gelato, fresh pasta, lasagna when required (training provided);
Maintain a clean and orderly work site;
Ensure all guidelines for sanitation, health and safety and food handling are adhered to;
Other duties as directed.
Requirements:
Proven experience as acook;
Knowledge of guidelines for sanitation, health and safety and food handling;
Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils;
Ability to work as a member of a cooking team;
Must work flexible hours;
Must commit to attending to work on a regular basis.
High school diploma or equivalent is desirable. Training from a culinary school and/or experience working in a banquet hall or restaurant will be an asset.
