Licenced Electricians & Electrical Apprentices

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as licenced electricians and electrical apprentices at various mine sites in the Timmins area. The role of these individuals is to provide all facets of surface and underground electrical constructions and maintenance services including installations, troubleshooting, repairs of electrical mining equipment and maintenance of surface and underground infrastructure. The key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

·       Installing cable and primary switchgears, transformers, and messenger cables.

·       High-voltage terminations, 600V, 120V/240V distribution and control wiring.

·       Maintenance of electrical mining equipment such as jumbo drills, mechanized bolters and ITH drills.

·       Keeping sound records of work performed, organize materials and assist in commissioning projects.

·       Organizing and overseeing the day-to-day operations while working closely with the site supervisor to develop and manage sound electrical workings.

·       Working safely in accordance with company standards and procedures.

Schedules:

·       7 days on 7 days off – 12 hour shifts

·       14 days on 14 days off – 12 hour shifts

·       4 days on 3 days off – 10 hour shifts (Monday to Thursday)

Qualifications:

·       Construction and Maintenance 309A or Industrial 442A Electrical License. (required)

·       Basic Hard Rock Miner Common Core. (asset)

·       Local to Timmins and surrounding area. (asset)

·       Valid class G driver license.

·       Working knowledge and skills in underground construction.

·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

·       Willing and able to undergo pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
