Journeyperson Electrician (Master Electrician ME)

Job Overview
We are recruiting a Journeyperson Electrician that holds a Master Electrician (ME) licence in the Province of Ontario to join our team. As an Master Electrician, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repaire of electrical systems and equipment across various construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Pull electrical permits through the Electrical Safety Authority in Ontario for work being performed by Site RG
- Ensure electrical installations comply with the Electrical Safety Code while performing electrical installations
- Oversee work conducted by Site RG electrical division to ensure that it complies with all applicable laws and regulations
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve electrical faults or malfunctions in machinery, equipment, and wiring systems
- Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly and meet safety standards
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to coordinate electrical installations, upgrades, and repairs
- Follow and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members and compliance with electrical safety standards
- Coordinate and/or carry out preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of electrical systems and equipment
- Mentor and/or use appropriate tools, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper maintenance and care of all tools and resources
Requirements
- 5 years of experience working as an electrician, with hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
- Must hold a valid Master Electrician (ME) Licence
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- In-depth understanding of electrical safety practices and regulations
- Ability to identify electrical hazards and take appropriate corrective actions
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to identify electrical issues and implement effective solutions
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members, supervisors, and other trades on-site
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test including cannabis
