Membership Experience Coordinator (Intern)
Who is eligible?
- Candidate must be a new entrant into the workforce, are transitioning to a new career, or are unemployed or underemployed who are entering a new field
- Candidate must have not previously participated in an NOHFC funded internship
- Candidate must be 18 years of age or older
- Candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Once hired, the candidate must reside in Timmins, where employed
Salary: This is a full-time, one year (52 week) contract at $45,000/annum.
Duties:
The Membership Experience Coordinator Intern will
work under the direct supervision of the Communications and Policy Lead and
report to the Manager of Business Services to assist in identifying, proposing
and creating communications pieces and sessions focused
on helping businesses assess their workforce needs. This role provides the opportunity for an Intern to contribute
their technological aptitude, writing skills, design and research talent, to a
fast-paced, growing non-profit organization.
The Membership Experience Coordinator Intern will work collaboratively with Chamber staff to support the various needs of the team including, but not limited to, drafting information pieces, press releases and media advisories; working on advertising campaigns; creating marketing and promotional material, participating in the production of the electronic newsletter; daily updating of and creating content for the Chamber website, with a lense of workforce needs.
Education and Training Required
Degree or diploma in
media/information technology or interactive media, communications,
journalism, political science, history, government relations, business/commerce,
marketing, English.
Skills and Qualifications
- Critical thinker
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to target timelines
- Creative, solutions-oriented thinker
- Strong written communications skills
- Experience with written communication in proposal writing, reports, executive summaries, written correspondence, research considered an asset
