Status:
Part-Time, 12 Month Contract with Possibility of Renewal
Hours: 14 hours per week, flexible work schedule (hours to be worked
during regular business hours)
Hourly Rate: $27.15/hr - $31.20/hr

Misiway delivers care across multiple programs funded through different sources, each with its own budgets, coding requirements, and reporting timelines.
Behind every program is financial work that must be accurate, timely, and well organized.
What You’ll Do
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Review and process invoices, ensuring accurate coding to program and grant budgets
- Prepare and process regular payment runs
- Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
- Record incoming revenue and reconcile payments
Payroll
- Process semi-monthly payroll using HRIS
- Maintain payroll records including deductions, benefits, and vacation accruals
- Remit source deductions and employer contributions to CRA on schedule
- Prepare Records of Employment (ROEs)
- Support year-end T4 preparation
Reconciliations
- Reconcile bank accounts monthly and resolve discrepancies
- Reconcile credit card statements and petty cash
- Identify and flag irregularities to management
General Finance Support
- Assist with HST remittances and CRA filings as directed
- Support year-end preparation with external accountants
- Maintain organized financial filing systems
- Contribute to additional finance tasks as needed
What You Bring
We value capability and experience—whether gained through formal education, hands-on work, or both.
Required
- Diploma or certificate in accounting, bookkeeping, or business administration—or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience, including payroll and AP/AR
- Experience with accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office tools
- Ability to work independently and manage part-time workload effectively
- Discretion and professionalism with sensitive information
- Clear criminal record check (required prior to start)
Assets
- Experience in a non-profit, charitable, or public sector setting
- Knowledge of CRA payroll remittances, ROEs, and T4s
- Understanding of Ontario employment standards
- Experience with or interest in Indigenous organizations or community health environments
