Job Title: Optical Lab Technician
Location: Family Eye Care Timmins – 1330 Riverside Dr, Timmins, ON
Type: Full-Time | Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Wage: $20/hour

At Family Eye Care Timmins, we help people see the world more clearly—literally! We're a friendly and fast-paced optometry clinic on the for a Lab Technician who’s detail-oriented, eager to learn, and loves working as part of a team.

Position Overview:
Your focus will be on cutting (edging) lenses into frames with precision, inspecting to ensure the final product is spec-tacular before they reach our patients. You'll also help with visual field and OCT testing. Once you’ve mastered the art of edging, we’ll cross-train you in orders and optical sales—because we see potential in you!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Cut and fit lenses into frames with precision and care
• Inspect the final product to make sure everything is crystal clear before dispensing
• Assist with visual field and OCT testing
• Keep the lab organized (no lens left behind!)
• Learn additional skills in orders and optical sales over time

What We're Looking For:

• No previous optical experience needed—we’ll train you hands-on
• Great attention to detail (a sharp eye is a plus!)
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Comfortable working with small tools and parts
• Bilingual (English/French)? That’s an eye-conic bonus!
