Reporting to the Dean, Mining, Trades, Technology, and Apprenticeship, the Research Coordinator will lead the development and execution of industry-academic applied research projects in collaboration with private sector partners. This role combines research coordination and curriculum development, ensuring projects address commercialization and production barriers while enhancing safety, efficiency, and innovation in the mining sector.
What you will be doing:
- Engage private sector partners to identify applied research project opportunities;
- Coordinate with college faculty, staff, and students to facilitate the development and execution of industry-academic applied research projects;
- Drive collaboration between industry and academia to improve innovation, efficiency, and sustainability;
- Translate research outcomes into curriculum enhancements for an environmental program as well as other pertinent programs; and
- Track budgets, timelines, and resource allocation of research initiatives.

What you will need to be considered:
- Four (4) year Degree in a related/relevant field; and
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience.
The successful candidate will have strong organizational and time-management skills, and have excellent communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They must also be detail orientated with the ability to work independently or as a team.
