Quality and Performance Improvement Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager Quality and Risk, the Quality and Performance Improvement Assistant is a supportive role to assist in administrative duties, scheduling, quality improvement processes and planning throughout the organization.
Position Responsibilities:
- To contribute to the Hospital Mission Statement, Goals and Objectives, Policies and Procedures.
- Use the TDH intranet and various programs within the system.
- Supports processes of quality improvement and program planning.
- Collect data and develop reports as it relates to the development and implementation of the ECFAA legislation, Accreditation standards, Quality Improvement Plans, Ontario Health improvement initiatives, and other quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure required quality improvement and indicator data is available for staff and the public.
- In collaboration with the quality and performance improvement team develop dashboards that will assist with communication of indicator performance.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets.
- Collaborate with IS/IT, data analysts and the corporate educator in ensuring the Learning Management System (LMS) stays up to date and supports corporate learning.
- Support staff and managers in effectively utilizing the LMS.
- Follow through on implementation of tasks and achieve expected outcomes within tight deadlines.
- Maintain relevant documents (reports, policies, minutes, agenda) on the Document Management System (DMS).
- Provide general clerical support to the Quality and Performance improvement team as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of a University Degree is health and/or administration program required.
- Two to three years of health care related experience.
- Proven ability for self-directed leadership.
- High attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Background/knowledge in quality improvement frameworks and strategies.
- Experience in monitoring and reporting quality improvement indicators.
- Proven expertise in developing reports.
- Demonstrated effective research skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Project work plan design and implementation, and monitoring.
- Excellent effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to create and deliver effective presentations.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a busy environment with concurrent demands and tight deadlines.
- Advanced skills in both Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs and other relevant platforms.
- Must possess the physical and visual ability to work sitting most of the working day in a computerized setting.
- Employment history which demonstrates regular attendance at work and flexibility in hours.
- Bilingualism (French and English) will be considered an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
· Rate of Pay: To be determined, based on experience and certification
· Option to enroll into Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan.
